Today 5th September is International Day of Charity

The International Day of Charity is an international day celebrated yearly on 5th September. It was announced by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.

And we at Kenneth Johnson Foundation were not left out, as usual, we were out today busy with what God has been doing and helping us to do in the lives of the needy.

Truly there are so many people out there who need help from us (you), and nothing is too small. The World Bank confirmed this, and I quote "Based on information about basic needs collected from 15 low-income countries, the World Bank defines the extreme poor as those living on less than $1.90 a day. However, because more people in poverty live in middle-income, rather than low-income, countries today, higher poverty lines have been introduced"

Now you can believe me that as a Nigerian a N1,000 (Thousand Naira) can save a dying family or individual from hunger.

Let's join hands to contribute, and less privilege today. A little helping hands we can go a long way.

As we join the world to to celebrate the world International Day of Charity, let's not forget that poverty is one of the difficult challenges especially here in Nigeria and Africa at large.
