A non-governmental organisation in Rivers State, The Kenneth Johnson Foundation KJF, has reached out to 160 widows and 200 teenagers from Ogoni (in Boue community) in the Khana local government area of Rivers State.
The Kenneth Johnson Foundation, as a way of providing succour to the less fortunate in society, presented wrappers to 160 Ogoni widows today as her first pet project in 2024.
The non-governmental organisation embarked on the empowerment of vulnerable widows and mothers in society in a bid to assist in lifting the burdens off their shoulders.
The wrappers were presented by the wife of the CEO, Mrs Lattest Burabari Kenneth-Johnson, to assure them that the foundation will continue to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged.
She said that the NGO's decision to support the widows and vulnerable in society was “born” out of genuine love and concern for vulnerable members of society.
Mrs Kenneth-Johnson urged the government and individuals to endeavour to extend a helping hand to those in dire need and who can be seen all around if we pay the necessary attention.
What's your take on this, please, we would love to hear from you.
